Kelya Shada is a famous tourist spot in Duhok. The top of the mountain is 880 meters high. From one side, you can see Duhok city, and from the other side, you can see Duhok Lake and Dam.

Best time to visit

Spring – The weather is fresh and nice. Summer evening – Not too hot, good for walking. Autumn afternoon – The temperature is perfect. Winter – Depends on the weather. If it's sunny, it's perfect to visit before noon or in the afternoon. But in the evening, it might be cold.

What to wear

Wearing sneakers is the best choice. Wear comfortable clothes because the way is like hiking.

What to take with you

Snacks because there are no markets on the top. Garbage bag to bring your trash back down since there might be no trash bins on the top.
